Annual Dental Cleaning
Did you know that according to the American Veterinary Dental College almost a third (20-27%) of canine patients have fractured teeth? And that periodontal disease is the most common disease affecting companion animals today? Additionally, research studies have shown that almost a 1/3 of patients with normal looking mouths have pathology that warrants treatment.  At Noah's Ark Animal Hospital, our veterinarians are trained to examine your pet's head, muzzle, teeth, tongue and oral cavity (if temperament allows) on every semi-annual and annual examination to detect dental disease. Further information can be gathered with dental radiographs taken during annual dental cleanings under general anesthesia. With dental radiographs, each tooth is assessed at its root to determine its overall health.  Call today to schedule your pet's annual dental cleaning and complete root evaluation!
